Back to the Bone
In a time long past, there was a Sad Necromancer who yearned for companionship. With a gentle spell, he summoned a host of undead companions, bringing warmth to his once-lonely existence. Together, they wandered the nearby hamlets and towns, a beacon of goodness in an oftentimes harsh world. Their intentions were pure, spreading kindness and aid wherever they went.
Yet, their unyielding vitality and immunity to sickness became a source of envy and suspicion. The very hearts they sought to warm turned cold with misunderstanding and prejudice. One fateful day, an uprising against them ensued, forcing the Sad Necromancer and his companions to flee in hopes of finding refuge.
Amidst the chaos, you find yourself lost and isolated amidst ancient ruins, your heart echoing with a haunting solitude. The cold, stone walls press in, and a single question resonates in your mind: Where have your friends gone? Are they still safe in this tumultuous world? Danger lurks at every corner, and while you're prepared to defend yourself, you don't want vengeance, you only want to return HOME.
We greatly appreciate any feedback you can provide, both positive and constructive. While this is an early prototype, we have numerous plans in the pipeline. Some of these updates will significantly transform the game. This gives you a unique opportunity to influence the game's development and the adjustments made to it. Due to looming deadlines, we had to take some shortcuts in design, resulting in a few imperfections and bugs.
How to Play:
- Use the left mouse button for all actions, such as moving, picking up items, and attacking. In this version, it's recommended to move cell by cell.
- To interact with unexplored fields, items, or enemies, you need to be positioned in the cell directly adjacent to them.
- Death mechanics aren't yet implemented, so don't worry about losing all your HP.
- Some enemy behaviors temporarily restrict access to certain cells. This is particularly noticeable with the 'monster' located in the map's top-left corner.
- The game is currently unbalanced. To succeed, you'll need superior weaponry and armor. We advise exploring as extensively as possible before confronting the 'boss', as he can be challenging to defeat.
