Elengrad Devlog 2 - Fluffy Wolfbear!


The tutorial level is back! It was always meant to introduce mechanics naturally, so I decided to reimplement it to reflect the game's improvements. Movement is smoother, jumping is more responsive, and—finally—you can actually swim instead of walking on water.

Weapons are getting a major upgrade too. There will be multiple types, each with unique mechanics and a deeper connection to the story. That meant adding a proper inventory system, so now you can pick up, drop, and equip items.

Enemies got a revamp—respawning now works dynamically instead of resetting with each zone change. And yes, the wolf actually looks like a wolf now (or at least a fluffy wolfbear).

Dialogues and quests are also evolving. Choices will matter, sometimes in small ways, sometimes in ways you can’t take back. The new system is flexible, so I’ll definitely come up with some wild ways to use it.
